Are there any studies on any interactions with freeze dried acai (Absolute Acai) and transplant meds? I have had a kidney & pancreas transplant over a year ago. Of course, I will speak to my doctor but I doubt that they have researched it.

The first and most important fact is that acai is a berry/fruit/food. Are there any fruits or berries you are not allowed to have? If the answer is no, than I doubt acai will bother you. To add another layer of confidence, get the approval of your transplant doctor. On that subject. Do you need to ask for approval every time you want to add or try a new food? Are than any food types/classes you can’t have for fear of interaction with your meds?
I personally feel that a diet rich in natural antioxidants would be amazing for any transplant patient. I hope this helps.
