“Why does man, God’s most perfect creation, fall prey to degenerative disease?” Dr. Maynard Murray searched for just that answer by studying various centurion groups throughout the world (humans who regularly live beyond 100 years of age) to determine how they are superior or physiologically different. By examining their environment, he found these cultures living in virtually isolated ecosystems. Their soil is preserved from erosion, and in many cases, fed by mineral rich glacial streams. Therefore, he concluded that the answers must be in the soil.
Since the sea once covered practically all land masses, he began to study sea life. Dr. Murray personally dissected thousands of species from the seas and did not find any traces of cancer, heart disease, or other degenerative diseases. Amazingly, his research concluded that aging on a cellular level does not occur in sea life. Dr. Murray then analyzed the mineral composition of seawater and found more than 90 water-soluble elements present in a constant proportional balance (when an excessive amount of any element flows into the sea through erosion or run off, it precipitates out or drops to the sea floor). He determined that sea life lives and feeds in an environment where shortages or excesses in essential elements are non-existent. It is common knowledge that our soils, and consequently the food grown in it, are seriously depleted of minerals through leaching, erosion and over cropping.
Current agricultural practices replace six to twelve of the forty elements now known to be critical for optimum plant growth and development. All individual cells in the human body are constantly replaced during the process of cell division. These cells are supplied with elements and nutrients provided by the food ingested while cell division occurs. When critical elements are no longer present in our foods, they become nonexistent in our bodies. Therefore, Dr. Murray deduced that the only logical explanation for the frightening increases in cancer and other forms of chronic degenerative disease is the absence of a complete and balanced chemical physiology.
Dr. Murray also theorized that the most efficient way to re-mineralize our precious soils (and the resultant foods) to their optimum mineral composition is to recycle the elements lost to the sea back into the land. Subsequently, he fertilized crops with small amounts of seawater (with its 90+ elements) and witnessed extraordinary improved growth, vitality, and taste. Since actual seawater proved too costly to transport for use in his trials, Dr. Murray removed the H2O from pure seawater and created “sea solids” (the remaining 3.5 percent are mineral solids). As a result, Dr. Murray saw the same amazing results in plants grown with sea solids either dissolved in hydroponics nutrient solutions or applied directly to the soils in low concentrations as a fertilizer. Next he offered farm animals feed grown in sea mineral fertilized soils that resulted in improved health, increased weight gain, and fewer deformities. Finally, he began a global search for pure and naturally produced sea minerals. The one and only location discovered by Dr. Murray is the actual source of SEA-90.
Dr. Murray was awarded patents for his discoveries regarding the application of sea mineral solids to agriculture and hydroponics. In addition, he authored “Sea Energy Agriculture” in order to document his findings and to share his discoveries.
