Normocellular bone marrow with progressive trilineage hematopoiesis

Dr. Ettinger

Do you have any feedback from any of the patients trying MM?

Secondly – a follow up to that blood work of my dads – he had a bone marrow test and turns out he has the following condition:

“Normocellular bone marrow with progressive trilineage hematopoiesis, erythroid hyperplasia, and no significant immunophenotypic abnormalities.

Peripheral blood with mild macrocytic anemia.”

Then there is the actual bone marrow analysis.

Cellularity …. the normocellular % is 40% which is normal for my age.

Basically something that could be genetic and that he has had for a long time. Conventional treatment is wait and watch… Any thoughts or insight?

I haven’t used “The Miracle Mineral Solution” (chlorine dioxide) it in my practice. I have had a few patients use it on their own, though I’ve never heard any rave testimonials about it. Personally, I’m not going to be using it.

As far as your dad’s diagnosis goes, I have had other patients with similar diagnosis and have referred them out to various integrative medical clinics to receive treatments I can’t perform at my practice.

When you see this type of blood test result you would naturally think leukemia/lymphoma. This would need to be ruled in or out. Another thing I would like to rule in or out is, zinc excess or copper deficiency. Here is a link to what I’m talking about. Hypocupremia (copper deficiency) and bone marrow failure. This is important because if it’s part of the puzzle, resolution can’t occur unless the issue is also addressed.

The common denominator in treatment for all has been monthly sessions of IV vitamin C and ongoing LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone) therapy. The patients I’m referring to have all had a diagnosis of leukemia (CLL mainly) or lymphoma (both Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkins).

Supplement wise has been: alpha lipoic acid (can be added to the vitamin C drip), CoQ10 (100+ mg’s), astaxanthin (8-12 mg’s), Vitamin D3 (2000-6000 IU’s), NAC w/selenium & molybdenum (Now Foods 1000+ mg’s), folic acid/B12 (400 mcg’s/2000 mcg’s) and betaine HCl (200-600 mg’s, per meal) for proper absorption of iron and other minerals.

N-acetylcysteine (NAC) Benefits

Cancer Adjuvant Therapy (including NAC, CoQ10, selenium and alpha lipoic acid)

I hope this helps.

Our Kids, Food Allergies, Cancer, the Informed and the Rest of Us

17 April 2011

Today’s standard of medical care is to treat all diseases and symptoms with drugs or surgery. The problem here is that prescription drugs don’t correct the underlying cause – the nutritional, biochemical or structural imbalances. In fact, prescription drugs usually create more problems and actually make it harder for the body to heal. Prescription drugs are only designed to treat symptoms, by activating or suppressing reactions in the body. These drugs were never created to do what is truly needed to get ones health back and that’s – rebuild and regenerate tissue and/or function. The simple truth is that a chemical cure is not the answer to a nutritional biochemical or structural imbalances. Dr. Marcus Ettinger AdvancedHealing.Com 714-639-4360

* Our Kids, Food Allergies, Cancer, the Informed and the Rest of Us *

Our Kids Health vs Big Business and Corporate Greed. Does our ignorance play a part in this?

Why do Walmart, Kraft and Coke Cola send Europe, pure, unadulterated versions of their food products and we get the versions that contain genetically modified ingredients, dyes, flavor enhancers and preservatives?

  • Why did allergy to peanuts double from 1997 to 2002?
  • Why do 1 in 17 children under the age of three have a food allergy.
  • Why has there been a 256% increase in the rate of hospitalizations (doctors admitting patients not parents) related to food allergies.
  • The fact is, that in 2008, Kraft removed artificial colorings, like yellow #5, and chemical sweeteners, like aspartame, from the products that they distribute in Europe, Australia, and other developed countries due to consumer concern over scientific studies that link these synthetic ingredients to hyperactivity and asthma in children. But, they haven’t done the same thing here in the U.S.!

Robyn O’Brien shares her personal story and how it inspired her current path as a “Real Food” evangelist. Grounded in a successful Wall Street career that was more interested in food as good business than good-for-you, this mother of four was shaken awake by the dangerous allergic reaction of one of her children to a “typical” breakfast. Her mission to unearth the cause revealed more about the food industry than she could stomach, and impelled her to share her findings with others.

In America and England we feed our children very poorly in school. I am disgusted when I see what is served in my daughter’s grade school and after-school daycare.

Kids daily exercise habits and the myth of child safety being less today than when we were kids.

Most Kids Today Don’t Get Enough Daily Exercise. “About three out of four children ages 5 to 10 get less than one hour of physical activity daily, according to a new survey. Why? Find out here (Article Here)

I remember as a kid, growing-up in La Habra Heights, my brother and I would get home from school by 3:00pm. And after a quick snack we wouldn’t step foot back in the house until my dad would call us in for dinner; then back out until it got dark – 4 hours of outside play each day. Why are parents, today, not allowing their kids to do what we did as kids?

Response I got from posting the above on Facebook – “Agreed, but as a mother of a little girl, I think part of the problem is the increasing fear of predators and not wanting to allow your child to play outside without adult supervision. Parents just need to buck up and participate outdoors with their kids. After all, it’s a win-win situation; exercise, time spent together, natural vitamin D, etc….”

In actual fact, we and our children are safer today than in the past. The reason for the above fear is not based in actual fact but on this point: 40 years ago we mainly heard about local news and the occasional national and international news. We seldom heard about the rare abduction in say, Missoula, Montana or Laramie, Wyoming. There was no need to pass that information along, outside the area of concern.

Today though, news is all about sensationalism, scandal, and the promoting of fear and terror in the populace. Now, instead of hearing about the rare, local kidnapping or murder we hear about every murder, rape and kidnapping and potential terrorist threat in the country. This constant media attack makes it appear as though these events are an ever increasing phenomenon and that it’s occurring around every corner. This newly instilled fear is exactly the planned, end-phenomenon, which the powers-that-be want ingrained into our every cell.

Well, I call BS and will never become the effect of any type of media propaganda – from the Right-Left or Center. My daughter, like I was, will be educated in common sense (street-smarts), to not speak to strangers and be observant of her surroundings for possible dangerous situations. I want my daughter to be prepared – head held high, not scared -head buried in the sand.

Stop worrying so much about your children, there are bigger issues to be concerned with – your weight, our own government, retirement, our food…!

Kids today are just as safe as they were in the ’70s, says “Free-Range Kids” author Lenore Skenazy, and what’s really distressing is an alarmist culture that refuses to let them grow up. (Free-Range Kids – Salon Article Here)

Can We Eat to Starve Cancer?

“Imagine that one medical advancement held the promise to conquer cancer, perhaps within your lifetime … the potential to also end more than 70 of life’s most threatening conditions, affecting one billion people worldwide. This is the promise of angiogenesis, the first medical revolution of the 21st century.”

In laymen’s terms, Anti-Angiogenesis іѕ a cancer therapy that consists of intake of drugs or natural foods that deprive cancerous tumors of blood supplies. In other words, Anti-Angiogenesis starve tumors to death by choking off blood supplies to them.

To Dr. Ettinger,

Almost two years ago I was diagnosed with Epstein Barr Virus (EBV). My energy level was extremely low and I had lost interest in doing the things I had previously enjoyed, as well as everyday necessary work. I discontinued my volunteer work at my church and my country western dancing. I had to literally drag myself to the gym to curb my increasing weight.

Today I am back dancing. In fact, I am taking another type of dance class weekly. I am scheduled to resume my volunteer work and have plans to start a new outdoor hobby. My workouts at the gym have returned to being fun, re-energizing and feeling positive and healthy.

My outlook on life, myself and my future have changed so dramatically I can’t believe it’s me. It’s like I found the old me again and I am certain I can attribute all this to you and your guidance.

Can You Cook with Lecithin Granules?

Question: I really don’t like the taste of the lecithin granules.  Can you cook with them and get the same benefits?

Lecithin granules won’t cook-up very well. If you blend the granules in a protein shake  (I use 2 tablespoons per shake) or with yogurt and fruit/fruit juice in a smoothie, you won’t taste them and it will act as a thickening agent (slightly).

Note: Lecithin granules are great ways to add additional lecithin to your diet. Lecithin is a naturally occurring fatty substance found in a variety of different foods such as soybeans, egg yolks, and whole grains. It helps the body utilize certain vitamins such as Vitamin A, B, E, and K. Lecithin granules also help to break-down fat and cholesterol into smaller pieces.

I hope this helps.

The 5 Most Common Nutritional Deficiencies I See In My Practice

“These are the 5 most common nutritional deficiencies I see in my Orange, chiropractic and integrative medicine practice: Magnesium, Zinc, Vitamin D, Vitamin E and Omega 3 Fatty Acids (ALA, EPA, DHA). I feel that these deficiencies are not just representative of my local area but are a glimpse of what the world, in general, is experiencing. Below is a brief summary for each nutrient. My ranking of nutritional deficiencies are based on dietary analysis, clinical observation and blood tests.” Marcus Ettinger BSc., DC

1. Magnesium

Deficiency: 8 out of 10 clients show clinical signs of magnesium deficiency. The average American diet only contains 50% to 60% of the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA). According to Dr. Guosong Liu, half the population of industrialized countries have a magnesium deficit, which increases with aging.

Symptoms: Anxiety, confusion, heart attack, hyperactivity (ADD/ADHD), insomnia, nervousness, muscular irritability (twitches, spasms or cramps), restlessness, Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS), weakness, heart palpitations, depression….

Recommended Foods: All green leafy vegetables (ex. Swiss chard and spinach), Seeds (pumpkin or sunflower seeds), Beans (black or navy beans).

Recommended Nutritional Supplements: Calm “magnesium caps” See: Magnesium and the Pathogenesis of disease (400 – 600 mg’s per day)

2. Zinc

Deficiency: 7 out of 10 clients show clinical signs of deficiency.

Symptoms: Acne, ADD/ADHD, brittle nails, delayed sexual maturity, depression/apathy, diarrhea, eczema, fatigue, growth impairment, hair loss, high cholesterol levels, immune impairment, impotence, irritability, lethargy, loss of appetite, loss of sense of taste, low stomach acid (HCl), male infertility/abnormal sperm, memory impairment, night blindness, paranoia, white spots on nails, poor wound healing, psoriasis….

Recommended Foods: Calf’s liver, beef, mushrooms, spinach, green peas and pumpkin seeds.

Recommended Nutritional Supplements: Zinc Glycinate (50 – 100mg’s per day).

3. Vitamin D

Deficiency: 10 out of 10 clients show deficiency (99.8% of all of my Labcorp, client blood tests have shown deficiency).

Symptoms: Allergies, auto immune diseases, burning sensation in mouth, cancer, diarrhea, insomnia, myopia, nervousness, osteoporosis, poor calcium utilization, rickets, scalp sweating, weight gain….

Recommended Foods: Cod liver oil, shrimp and eggs.

Recommended Nutritional Supplements: Power Vitamin D3 or Power D3 Softgels. Recommended dosage of Vitamin D3/Cholecalciferol is (6,000 – 10,000 IU’s per day for adults and 2,000 IU’s for children above the age of five. A base-line blood test should be done with a goal of achieving a blood level between 50 – 70 ng/mL ). Skin exposure to the sun, 15 minutes per day, is another great way to get adequate Vitamin D exposure. Note: living in southern California, I only take my Vitamin D during the months of October – the beginning of June. I surf a lot and as soon as my wetsuit comes off and I can get 15 minutes+ of direct sunlight, I no longer need the supplement form. In fact if if I kept taking it I would sunburn within 15 minutes. This is what your body does when the vitamin D level is sufficient.

4. Vitamin E

Deficiency: 3/10 Males and 2/10 Females show signs of deficiency.

Symptoms: Neurological disturbances (gait disturbances, poor reflexes, loss of position sense, loss of vibration sense), shortened red blood cell life….

Recommended Foods: Green leafy vegetables (Mustard greens, chard, spinach and turnip greens), almonds and sunflower seeds.

Recommended Nutritional Supplements: Power E Complex – d-alpha Tocopherol w/mixed Tocohperols (400 – 800 IU’s per day)

5. Omega 3 Fatty Acids (ALA, EPA, DHA)

Deficiency: 8/10 show signs of deficiency.

Symptoms: Diarrhea, dry skin and hair, hair loss, acne, eczema, psoriasis, immune weakness, infertility, poor wound healing, premenstrual syndrome, gall stones, liver degeneration, ADD/ADHD and depression….

Recommended Foods: Wild-caught salmon (Important: avoid farm-raised salmon because of pollutants, artificial color and lack of EFA’s), flax seed and/or flax seed oil, walnuts and sardines.

Recommended Nutritional Supplements: Ultra Omega 3-6-9 (2 – 4 caps per day) or High Lignan Flax Seed Oil (3 – 6 caps per day)

Seasonal Cold and Flu (Swine – H1N1) Preparedness – A Natural Approach

Seasonal and Swine Flu (H1N1) Preparedness – A Natural Approach
by Dr. Marcus Ettinger

To make a long story short – My family and I are not going to be vaccinated for the “seasonal flu” or “H1N1 Flu virus”. We are taking my Proactive Nutritional Protocol (see below).  In 21 years as a holistic practitioner, I have never taken a sick day. I’ve had a runny nose and a scratchy throat but that’s it. In that same time span, I’ve been sneezed on and coughed on by hundreds of patients with the flu, pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis and colds. The point is – I know what to do to stay well. Visit my website and blog for more wellness information.

With the flu season moving into high gear, I am not worried or scared about the seasonal or Swine Flu – I am getting prepared, but not scared. My family and I are taking proactive, preventative steps that I know will enable our innate immune system to defend itself against the bacteria’s and viruses we will be exposed to. I am not saying that by taking these preventative steps, my family and I will be immune super-beings, capable of eating Swine Flu tacos for dinner. What I am saying is, with 100% confidence, we will possess the capability to defend ourselves, since all will be well within our bodies. At a minimum we will possess the capability to minimize the effects/symptoms after exposure to a contagion (bacteria/virus). The key here is to minimize the impact.

My Proactive Nutritional Protocol: Power Vitamin D3 Liquid or Power Vitamin D3 Softgels, Probiotic Flora-Health (multi-strain probiotic) and Power C w/rutin (These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.)

I personally take 6,000 IU’s of  our vitamin D3, 1 capsule of our Probiotic Flora-Health and 2-4 capsules of our Power-C daily.
