Kids and Goji Berries

Goji-Berries

Q: Hello Dr.,
I purchased your goji berries last month and I am really happy with the way my whole system is changing for the better.

I have a twenty month old Grand daughter and a four and a half year old grandson they both suffer from allergies and night coughs. At what age is it O.K. to give the goji berries and at what amount? I also have a daughter who is five months pregnant; would it be good from her to take them due to all the vitamin C and anti-oxidants?

They are really making a difference in my Well-Being.

All My Best
Heidi

A: Dear Heidi,
Any age is the right age for goji berries. Fill a Mason jar with the berries add water to cover let soak for at least 24 hours and use the softened berries as needed. Keep refrigerated. My daughter turned 21 months old today and she eats them like candy. I see no reason why they can’t have as much as they want.

Sincerely,

Dr. E

  1. Dear Dr. E.,
Thank you for responding to my mother, Heidi. My daughter will be 21months on Saturday and she too eats them like candy, she can’t get enough, she eats them soaked or dry, she doesn’t care what form they are in.
